Why Does Cetaphil Moisturizer Make My Face Feel Like It Is Burning?
My dermatologist recommended that I use a moisturizer along with differin acne medication so my face doesn’t dry out to much, so i bought cetaphil face moisturizer. For some reason, when I apply the moisturizer, my face feels like its burning?! but then after a little while the burning goes away & my face is fine & moisturized. why does this happen?

Cetaphil has urea in it, use a more sensative face cream.

Its just a skin reaction. You may have really sensitive skin. My sister could never use the same face wash as I did because her skin was so sensitive. Mine is hardcore lol. Anyway try Olay. She still uses that & loves it.

Your skin is probably too sensitive to handle the moisturizer. Or, the acne medication is reacting badly to the moisturizer.
Try to get a kit of acne soap or creme, astringent, & lotion. That way it’s all together & won’t react with each other.
Another cause could be just it working. If It’s more of a tingling then that means it’s washing out your pores. But if it’s actually a burning then you need to try my other suggestions.

You have really sensitive skin. See if the burning stops after a few uses or talk to your dermatologist again.
