try palmers coco butter it works wonders it will help your blocthy skin & it will also soothe it. You can also try some palmers olive-oil skin creme it works wonders too. It gets deep into the skin to protect not only the surface but underneath as well. If this doesn’t help you may need to consider seeing a dermetologist to see what they could recommend for you.

Since it sounds like you might have sensitive skin & your pregnant try an organic lotion. Walgreens has some organic lotions that smell really good. They come in brown bottles with black lids. Good luck & congrats!

Aveeno is great for dry skin. The positively radiant line is especially great. Also try just jojoba oil. It mimics natural sebum in skin so it helps to protect really well. Aveda has a lovely one called Beautifying oil. Costs about $20., but it will last you a really long time. Try moisturizing more than morning & night to see if this helps. Layering products can help too. Put the jojoba oil on, then Aveeno lotion or creme (cremes are usually heavier & more emollient). Aveda has an excellent masque that helps to lock in moisture too. It is called hydrating masque & it is completely clear. It hydrates w/out clogging pores. It has lots of aloe vera which also helps to calm, lessen irritation, & hydrate skin. Invest in a facial if you can because it can be tricky getting the moisture barrier where it needs to be once it is out of whack. Use products that calm & sooth your skin to help the itchy redness. From what you wrote, it sounds like you have reached a point where anything you apply will sting because it is so dry. Don’t use any form of soap- use creme cleansers, jojoba oil, heavy creme to moisturize, & use the masque once of twice a week when you need it.
If you need more help, just e-mail me & I will happily help.

I have been using the johnson’s baby lotion. It smells real good too. Another one is the coco butter. It does help with stretch marks. Good Luck.. Don’t itch your skin though. It makes it worse.

I wound up making my own products. I made a stretch mark belly balm that was pretty good as an all over body moisturizer. It was just jojoba oil, coconut oil, shea butter, olive oil, & beeswax melted together. I got the recipe from a book called “Earthly Bodies & Heavenly Hair” by Dina Falconi. I ordered the ingredients from camdengrey.com, which has really low prices, even for organic stuff. Making your own stuff is the best way to control what goes on your body. Have you ever checked out the ingredients on Palmer’s Cocoa Butter balm? Almost all mineral oil with a teeny bit of cocoa butter. Your skin & budget would be better off just buying $5 or $10 worth of pure cocoa butter from Camden Grey. These days, I just use plain coconut oil as a moisturizer, & it’s great. For you, that might work, or just plain shea butter or plain cocoa butter.

WATER drink it….
shower & before you dry off..put baby oil over wet skin (the really dry spots.) & pat the rest off…(I have super dry skin & I have to do that all the time..also don’t take a hot shower..cool it down a little hot water drys skin)
Don’t use irsh spring or soaps like that…use dove –or they have great body washes with conditioners .
I also use Palmer’s Olive Butter Formula wal mart about 3 bucks
I hope this helps….pamper yourself…cause you aren’t going to have alot of time after the baby gets here..
Good luck…cheryl.

Raw Shea Butter. It is natural. And it helps so you don’t get stretch marks. The stuff is gross though. It looks like butter. And it smells like clay. But the moisture that it puts in your skin is amazing. Shea Butter comes from Africa. And is imported here in the states. Let me know if you want to try it. pleasantlivinggifts@yahoo.com. I will be happy to send you a sample.
