Is Baby Oil Really An Effective Moisturizer For Dry Skin (body)?
my girl friend sometimes does that…just as she gets out of the tub or shower, before she towels off, she’ll rub on baby oil on her legs after she shaves…(shudder of lust)…Oooohhh Baby…. or a couple of capfuls to her bathwater…I better stop…it’s getting warm in here.

no.. Oil does nothing to moisturise the skin.

hm it depends on how dry the skin is & how much you use i used to make the mistake of putting to much in my bath & making my skin & hair horribly greasy, but i would go for a normal body lotion & that should fix the problem

I use it on my legs b/c of where I work it gives them dry skin. Just don’t too much on them or it will feel kinda greasy. I like it though, makes them like baby soft. Also, try Nivea Soft Refreshingly Soft Moisturizing Creme. It works really well.

It depends. It works OK for some people but in doesn’t really work for me. A couple of years ago I even got a really dry chapped skin because of it. i didn’t know that was because of that until I went to see my doctor.
According to my doctor, some people are allergic to that.
Now I still use it sometimes & it doesn’t give me chapped skin anymore but it doesn’t smooth the dryness too much. The only reason I use it because it’s not sticky like body lotion.

I”m busy laughing at rick’s answer. In answer to your question, yes baby oil is very effective as a body moisturizer. The best way to apply it is following your shower, pat yourself lightly so that your a bit damp, using a damp facecloth, poor small amounts onto the cloth & then rub where you want it. This keeps you from baby oil overload which will clog your pores. The baby oil holds the water into your skin & adds more moisture. My honey loves my skin when I do this following a shower. Also makes a nice shine to your skin!
