Moisturizer Answers

I use the tea tree oil cleanser from the body shop
and an aloe toner from the body shop
and the tea tree oil moisturizer
It hasn’t caused me to break out anymore
but when does any routine start to work?

Is it possible that my facial acne might go away if I simply use soap & a moisturizer & discontinue usage of any other acne product?

My dad bought this acne free kit from Target today, & I really don’t know anything about it. On the box it says it works better than Proactiv. So I checked the site & did some research. Most people say it does work better & clears skin faster. So now I’m pretty excited to use it tonight haha.
Do I apply anything on my face AFTER using it? like a moisturizer with sunscreen or anything. Does it remove scars from past mistakes? & tell me if Acne Free did work for you or not. [:

I’m 4 1/2 months pregnant & having acne on my face, chest & back.
It doesn’t seem to be like regular pimples I’ve ever had before. When will this go away?
I’m using Olay face wash, astringent & a light moisturizer (only in the morning.) I’m using the astringent on my back & chest as well.

How do you use it?
Do you apply the Acne Control Cleanser & then was it off & then apply the Acne Control moisturizer & then was it off & then put on the Spot Treatment & leave it?
i have no clue..

and if you want you can put some other tips on how to keep skin clearer.. =)

I just bought the clean & clear acne control kit since i heard good things about it.. im pretty sure your supposed to use the acne control cleanser 1st, & then apply the acne control moisturizer, but after that are you supposed to put the spot treatment on as well?

i heard lotion clogs pores. & thats bad for some reason..
and i also heard that drying out your acne is good..
but i also heard that when your skin dries out, your body moisturizes your skin with its own oils but the oils have toxins in it so its bad…
so is it good or bad?

I have a lot of acne marks from the acne I have. They haven’t turned into scars (yet…). I’m hoping to get rid of them as soon as possible. I’ve dealt with acne since 6th grade. I really need a product that will not dry my skin out & will maintain clear skin while helping rid of my acne marks.
PLEASE HELP! i’ve tried almost every product, medication & i’ve been going to the dermatologist – nothing seems to work.

After reading lots of articles ive come up with the following for my face:
Rubbing Alcohol to remove bacteria & clean
Oil-less moisturizer
15,000 UI of Vitamin A
Would this work do you think? Ive tried quite a few “products” but they never seem to work. Ive noticed the alcohol is DEFINITELY cleaning from what i can see on the cotton wool pad. Im then using the quality moisturizer so my oil glands dont go into overdrive. The high dosage of Vitamin A is to lower my sebum production & for just healthy skin.

I was my face with cleansing soap & the benzoyl peroxide soap in the morning & use a face moisturizer. I wear makeup. Then at night i was my face with the same things. I dont use moustrizer at night. Is there anything else i can be doing?

Papaya soap followed up by vitamin E oil to help clear acne scars. Is this a good combination?
Also, what’s a good moisturizer i can use on my face…
i have a few acne scars left over on the side of my face. has anyone tried this combination before or knows anything about the two?. please help. thanks…

I used to use the Murad Skin Perfection (from their acne line) one & i think that was pretty good. Don’t really remember the results, but I really did like it. And then i switched to Murad Correecting Moisturizer with SPF (from the redness therapy line). That’s running out so i recently bought the Biore Shine Control, but I don’t think that’s moisturizing enough.. I got a sample of the Clean & Clear moisturizer too but i didn’t like the smell & it made me reallyy oily.
so.. i want some new suggestions before i go back to the Murad Skin Perfection lotion. i can only get that online so it gets pricey overtime.

I use Vanicream, which has no perfumes, no dyes, no lanolin, & no fermadehyde. My dermatologist gave me one tube, but I bought more at the drugstore (Walgreens or Rite Aide carry this).

im not taking pills or anything like that, just need a moisturizer thats under $10. im thinking bout palmers with cocoa butter.. ive heard great results from that ^_^
do u know if my acne scars on my legs & arms will fade/reduce the size if i use St Ives Vitamin E body wash? ive heard vitamin e is good too

I have terrible acne, & even worse acne scarring. The kind that would probably qualify as a “before” photo in a ProActive commercial.
I’ve never used a moisturizer until two months ago, because I always thought it would clog my pores more.
My stepmother suggested that I probably try some, because of the 100 degree heat here.
So I did. I got Clean & Clear moisturizer & after about a week of using it (followed the directions exactly) I noticed it started making me break out even more.
Do I even need a moisturizer? I’m not sure if this stuff works by making you break out at first, & then it slowly starts working & the breakouts become less like a lot of products do.
Is there one under $10 that you’ve tried that doesn’t cause breakouts or clog pores (I’m on a really tight budget these days)?
As far as my acne goes, I’ve tried tons of products: literally every single thing on the grocery store’s shelves, ProActive, Murad, prescribed creams from my doctor (four total), & other little “home remedy” tips & tricks from other people’s suggestions.
Right now I’m following a remedy from Acne.org, using baking soda 2-3 times a week & rubbing Vitamin E on my face every night & every morning.
I’m washing my face with Neutrogena & I really like how soft it makes my face feel.
Is there anything else you could recommend for acne that doesn’t cost a lot (under $10)?

I dont get any more zits in the morning but I still have these red marks & small bumps (not many) that wont go away. They are really small & clustered under my jawbone. Shaving aggravates them. I use toner & moisturizer. How can I get them to disappear?

i bought the spot treatment separately over the summer & it really helped, but then my skin got used to it & it didnt work anymore. so maybe the cleanser & moisturizer will help. i read the reviews but i dont know whether to believe the bad ones or the good ones, should i use this product?
i tried proactive, it only kept me clear for maybe a week, then everything went downhill again.
