Moisturizer Answers

I have very dry & damaged hair from using my straightener, I have now stopped using my straightener everyday & only use it at the most once a week. My hair is also very thick & wavy & has blonde dye through it.
At the moment I:
- use a treatment once a week
- moisturise (with a hair moisturiser) every night
- shampoo/condition every third night
Should I continue doing this or is there something I can change?

I heard that putting a moisturizer such as lubriderm or St. Ives in your hair can help keep down curly hair & make it more manageable. I’m worried that it is harmful to your hair. Thanks for your responses everyone!

Ok so i’m in the process of transitioning from relaxed to natural & I would like to know what are the best moisturizers for my hair to do this? I know not to use anything with petroleum & mineral oil.
Ladies (those who’ve gone natural in particular) what do you suggest i use as a daily moisturizer?

Is there an expire date for Pantene Pro-V hair moisturiser? cos i bought that last week & i happen to saw this number on the bottom of the bottle B12-20122005. 21:25 / 60064294F3. Is that a manufacturing or expire date? How long can it last? Thanks

i visited many websites that tells u how to make masks an moisturizers for both hair & body..but the problem is that either the products have short shelf life..or the include ingredients that are hard to fine

if you could only use one:
shampoo
conditioner
foundation
mascara
eye shadow (color)
concealer
perfume
eyeliner
blush
lipstick
body lotion
face moisturizer & cleanser
tampons or pads
for your entire life, what would you use?
also are you a big spender or do you like saving money?
i just want to know what other girls are wearing & weather you guys like to mix & match or if you only stick to one brand.

I read somewhere that this is supposed to be good for dry hair.
Does it really work or is it better to just sleep with conditioner in & wash it the next morning?

I’m planning on tinting – not dying – my hair purple. But I want to use a brand that won’t potentially damage my hair. My hair is dark brown, & I’m black (but my hair is semi-wavy from mixed heritage), so I want to avoid dyes that will dry out my hair further. Any suggestions? And will I be able to use my normal daily moisturizers on my tinted hair without removing much of the tint?

it after washing it at night as well or do I apply it 2 unwashed hair?

As well as shampoo, oil etc.? I have coarse hair that won’t soften that easily & have very limited knowledge about the best products to use. ‘ve been switching to new products like every half a year & I think my hair is sick & tired of this. I’m now intending to stick to something for a while & take better care of it. Any ideas?

I bourght this instore today, not knowing it was for blondes, cause it didnt actully say that on the bottle. But it says it will lighten your hair, which i wanted cause im planning on highlights soon. Will this product still lighten my hair even if it is brown & not blonde?

I’m a guy who has natural straight hair that curls when it is long. I used hair gel to keep it straight, but after a day at work it curls cause its dry. Basically after a shower, when my hair dries, it gets curly, & i shampoo it & put moisturizer on it. I found out that if I put body moisturizer on it, it curls less & make it more staright & gives it that healthy look. I use Nivea body lotion & I was wondering if it is ok if I use it on my hair or if there is going to be some side effects?

Yeah. I got some on my arm, & I am sitting here, waiting with the dye on my head now. Any suggestions will work. I tried moisturizer, & soap, & it’s still there, on my wrist. AND I’m coloring my hair black, so it’s noticiable.

I remember ages ago I read something about Karin Herzog products also bleaching body hair gradually. Thought it would be less of a faff than using cream bleach periodically. Anyone know of any such products? If there aren’t any there should be! It’s like roll on deodorant with hair minimiser – how come it took someone so long to think of that! I’m all for time-saving!

I just want something that I can do it myself & what is a good moisturizer product can I user afterwards.
