Moisturizer Answers

I am looking for a tinted moisturizer or primer, preferably something I can get at a drugstore.
I am willing to pay up to 20 dollars for it, but would prefer not to go that expensive.
First of all, which is better? My skin is combination & I only wear foundation if I break out, as my skin is usually clear. I would, however, like to have a sheer covering effect, just to even out my pale skin tone.
Second of all, which kinds are best?

yeah thats what i usually do. i apply a moisturiser, then “that gal” makeup primer by benifit, & then finally my foundation. it really keeps your skin moisturized throughout the day.

I want to use my Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisture moisturiser-For Sensitive Skin (the one in a white bottle) which is water-based as a primer.
Will it do the same job as a primer & prevent the chemicals of the makeup seeping into my pores?

I was playing around with some makeup on my sister, & I didn’t have any eyeshadow primer to put on her lid.
I decided to use the moisturizer that had dried on the nozzle & applied it because it was sticky. The lotion wasn’t hard, it was just exposed to too much air.
Before you say that’s not safe to use on the eye, I KNOW. There’s specific eye creams for the eye, but I’ve been using moisturizer all over my face with no problems.
I forgot to look & see if it creased before I removed the makeup a couple hours later, but it seemed to do the job well enough.
Has this worked for you? Does it crease?

I’m using Everyday Minerals but I’m having problems with a chalky appearance….it’s not that bad but I’d like it to look lighter. I use Clean & Clear oil-free moisturizer (because I have acne-prone skin) but I don’t know if my powder really likes this moisturizer.
What are all the products you use BEFORE you put on your mineral powder? like toner, moisturizer… & tell me your skin type!!

I heard Make-Up Primers help even out skin tone & hide your pores, okay & my moisturizer doesn’t do that. So i was wondering if i could wear make-up primer as a moisturizer?
Does it damage your skin like foundation does?

It says put it on clean, dry skin & immediately follow with foundation… Perhaps you don’t put moisturiser on at all?

I heard that Monistat chafing gel makes a good primer because it contains the 3 main ingrediants that basic make-up primers do which is:
Dimethicone
Crosspolymer
Cyclomethicone
Now Clean & Clear makes a moisturizer that called “Morning Glow” that makes your skin sparkly & it contains dimethicone, but none of the other ingrediants.
How well could it substitute as a make-up primer?
