Moisturizer Answers

I am 23 years old & would like to start maintenance of my youth while its still here. Any recommendation on a great collagen cream for the face and/or facial wash that I can buy at the drug store. I want something affordable of coarse, but I am also open to higher end, expensive creams as well.

every time i use a moisturiser, i get loads of spots!
what should i do?

I love Enamor, by Designer Skin. It smells GREAT, & makes my skin feel like silk. I use it especially after I tan(which is mainly what it’s designed for). It has silicone in it, which seals in the moisture for a long time.
Word of caution: Don’t buy it at a tanning salon. It’ll cost you $50. You can get it online for under $20.
Hoss Sauce(yeah, funny name) Daily Moisturizer is also great. But I love Enamor best.

all i found is the cleanser, the moisturizer, cleansing pad… but i tried to find the correcting treatment…. i went to walgreens but cant found it… i dont think cvs, ralphs, target sell it either.. can you tell me where to buy it? i know you can buy it online but i rather go to the store to buy it… anyone know?

i have been using eucerin face moisturizer for awhile now & i noticed that it makes my face, especially my nose & chin, very oily & that causes me to break out. so, i want to try another moisturizer that does not make my face oily or contain any type of oil. & has atleast SPF 30 & will be able to moisturize my face the whole day & is dermatologically recommended. any suggestions?

PEANUT BUTTER
To get gum out of a carpet, scrape up what you can, using an ice cub to stiffen it if necessary. Then rub a small glob of peanut butter into the fibers, & wipe up the whole mess with a cloth. To get rid of any left-behind PB, just dab it up with a mixture of 1 tsp of dishwashing liquid in 1 cup of lukewarm water. (Thanks to DIY Life for the tip!)
PEPPER
Everyone knows Clorox’s catchy ditty about keeping clothes bright, but all you need is pepper. Add a teaspoon of pepper to the wash before you add in your clothes & it will keep the colors from fading.
WHITE VINEGAR
Deodorant stains can ruin a perfectly good shirt. Save your whites by spraying white vinegar (no need to mix with water) onto the underarm areas. Then you can wash per usual.
SUGAR
At your next BBQ don’t spend money on anti-pest candles that never work. Simmer 2 cups of milk, a 1/4 pound of sugar & 2 oz. of ground black pepper for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Pour the mixture into bowls & put them where the flies will be attracted to them & then drown. You can also place around the house. No more buzzzzzing at the windows.
SODA
Next time your drain is clogged & you don’t have time to run to the store for some Drain-O just look in your fridge! A 2-liter bottle of soda will do the trick. Just pour it down to clobber the clog.
SHORTENING
For a natural solution to diaper rash, try coating the area with a thin layer of shortening. It will act as a moisturizer.
SALT
Grease stains can be a huge pain when it comes to doing laundry. Before you wash, work a generous amount of table salt into the stain & then launder as usual.
POTATOES
Too much to drink last night & now you have puffy eyes? Apply a thin slice of cold potato to your eyes & leave on for five minutes. Then splash with cool water, put on your makeup (or just some moisturizer — this means you, too, guys!) & head to work!
ORANGES
Don’t you hate it when you have to start a fire & little bits of newspaper are flying everywhere? Next time, air-dry orange peels, which contain flammable oils that burn longer, & use those instead of the paper. The delicious smell is a bonus.
OLIVE OIL
Does it seem like nothing is working for your bad skin? Use 4 tablespoons of salt & 3 tablespoons of olive oil to create a paste. Leave it on your face for 2 minutes & rinse with warm water. Then wash your face as normal. Use every day for a week & then cut back to 3 days a week & you should notice an improvement.
MUSTARD
It may make you smell like a hot dog, but rubbing a thin layer of mustard over your chest & covering with a hot towel can relieve a stuffy head & chest.
MILK
Oh no! You forgot to put the cap on your pen & now there is ink seeping into your shirt. No worries — just grab some milk & soak the area. Depending on the type of ink, this process can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 24 hours. Patience is a virtue.
MAYONNAISE
It’s one thing when your child draws on the wall with crayons, it’s quite another when it comes to your wood furniture. Rub some mayonnaise on the crayon mark & let it soak for ten minutes. Then take a damp cloth & wipeaway the mayo AND the crayon!
LEMONS
Dandruff can be an embarrassing health problem, but the special shampoo often smells yucky. Try massaging 2 tablespoons of lemon juice into your scalp & rinsing with warm water. Follow with a leave-in rinse of 1 teaspoon lemonjuice in 1 cup of warm water. Use this daily until your scalp is healed.
FLOUR
You have an ant problem but are worried about the poisonous ant traps around your pets. Just sprinkle flour wherever you see ants entering the house & along the pantry shelves, since they are most likely after your food.
EGGS
No time to hit the salon before your big event? Get your hair super shiny & conditioned with eggs! Take two beaten egg yolks & massage into hair. Start at the scalp & work in small sections. Then gather all of the hair in a shower cap, wrap in a warm towel & wait 30 minutes (you could cook the kids’ dinner). Rinse with cool water & shampoo as usual.
CORN STARCH
Your child just learned how to tie their shoes & the knots are impossible to undo. Stay calm & sprinkle a little cornstarch on the laces to help you work out the knot.
CLUB SODA
There’s no more worrying about drinking red wine on white carpet. Soak up as much wine as possible & then pour club soda over the area, making sure to blot & not rub. Repeat the process until the wine is no longer visible. You can also do the same for urine stains.
CASTOR OIL
While most of us associate castor oil with constipation or childbirth, did you know it can also help get rid of pesky moles in your yard? Just mix a 1/2 cup of castor oil with two gallons of water & pour the mixture down the mole(s) hole(s). Don’t worry, the solution is animal friendly & they will likely relocate.
BUTTER
A jewelry box can help you organize, but sometimes those thin-chained necklaces just want to get tangled & you can’t stop them! Rub some butter into the knot & lay on a flat surface. Then take a sewing needle to untangle. When finished just run under hot water to rinse off the butter.
BREAD
Next time you drop a wine glass or break a plate, grab a slice of bread to help you clean up. After you pick up the larger pieces, press the bread over the area & it will pick up all the itty bitty pieces you can’t see. Bread can also help clean fingerprints off walls & wallpaper. Just rub & voila!
BANANAS
Before you throw your banana peel in the compost pile, remove any stringy pulp & use the peel as a buffer. This works with silverware as well as leather shoes & leather furniture. Just rub the peel over the object & buffwith a soft cloth. Be sure to test a small section of your furniture first!
APPLES
Sick of waiting for your green tomatoes to ripen on the windowsill? Stick up to five tomatoes in a brown paper bag with a ripe apple & seal for a few days. This will speed up the ripening process.

I have a lot of acne marks from the acne I have. They haven’t turned into scars (yet…). I’m hoping to get rid of them as soon as possible. I’ve dealt with acne since 6th grade. I really need a product that will not dry my skin out & will maintain clear skin while helping rid of my acne marks.
PLEASE HELP! i’ve tried almost every product, medication & i’ve been going to the dermatologist – nothing seems to work.

note…. i have tried clean & clear it dries out my face, also tea trea, oxy & neutrogena
my face use to be oily but now it is too dry i need it be in the middle i.e not very oily & not dry, what kind of product can i buy

I heard that using body lotions such as Vaseline or Nivea on your face can clog your pores & sometimes cause pimples & that moisturizer is what you’re supposed to use on your face? I wanted to know if anyone can confirm that this is true. Thanks!

And if any something that can help dark circles I have good skin & it’s clear but I just want smoother skin & lift some darkness from near my eyes

I use Vanicream, which has no perfumes, no dyes, no lanolin, & no fermadehyde. My dermatologist gave me one tube, but I bought more at the drugstore (Walgreens or Rite Aide carry this).

So far I haven’t found ANY moisturizers that haven’t made my skin more oily than it already is. Any help?

Urea is an ingredient in some makeups, & moisturizers. Check your makeup collection now, look at the ingredients…

Ok, urea is urine. It is found in mammalian & amphibian urine as well as in some fish.
Now that you know that you’re spreading urine on your body, will you continue to use makeup & moisturizer products with urea in it?

Olay makes me break out & dry up (and I have oily skin, so to make my face dry it has to be bad).
Anyway, I saw Aveeno recommended by a dermatologist a year ago in a magazine, so that is what I use. It is a really rich moisturizer that feels great. I put powder on after I use foundation. It doesn’t look flakey unless I have a ton of acne (which in that case I use very light makeup in that area).

My diet is healthy,I am using a moisturizer & I clean my face before going to bed.

I have dry skin..so alot of the creams on the market dont do anything for me!! So i use decleor & sometime jurlique..which are brilliantly rich creams & do the job..except i need one that has an SPF..and super good for dry skin.
any suggestions??

i want facial moisturizer because i always hear in the t.v that we should use a moisturizer & my skin is not clear so i want to fix it a Little bit so what kind of moisturizer that i can use for my dry skin .
