Moisturizer Answers

I have a bottle of moisturizer that I’ve had for years because it’s really rich & you don’t need to use much at all (it’s Aveda so it was also $$$$). It has SPF 15 & I’m wondering if that will work forever or if it loses its effectiveness. There are guidelines for throwing out old makeup, what about old moisturizer?

I’ve been using proactiv for a while now, along with differin. I don’t break out at all, but i do have really dry & flakey skin. Can i use a different moisturizer, like Cetaphil, or dove with proactiv? Or would that cause irritation? If i do were to use a different moisturizer, should i stop using differin & the repairing lotion?

Aloe Vera Moisturiser Gel, is great. It firms the skin. Don’t forget your sunscreen underneath.

i do but i have very dry skin so it can use the extra moisture.

I bought Nivea visage: Rich moisturizing daycare, today & i tested it on my hand it absorbs really well & everything. I’m thinking of maybe using it for night time aswell.. But I was wondering why it says “daycare” why can’t I use it overnight too ? Should i get another moisturizer for overnight ?

In what ways is it suppose to help with skin;how does it help give a more youthful appearance?

My skin is really really oily. If I do not use a moisturizer, it becomes dry. I want an oil-free moisturizer with shine control that can be purchased at a drugstore & isn’t too expensive. Thanks

I have normal to dry skin, & I rarely break out. Sometimes on my forehead, I get a little oily, but only right now, near summertime. Any drugstore recommendations would really help! Thanks!

I was buying a few things from the Body Shop that I had run out of, such as face moisturiser. I was at £13 & qualified for free Standard Delivery at £15 so decided to buy a hair conditioner & I ended up paying £12 for everything.
I bought this Banana hair conditioner because there was absolutely nothing else I needed. It’s a decent, moderately expensive item & was just wondering what difference it would make to my hair?

My thinking was, if dandruff was caused by a dry scalp, & moisturizer cures dry skin, then if it’s not getting on your hair (if you don’t have any, how can it?) you can just apply it directly to your scalp.
Is this a solution?

Some products say they are moisturizers, but say they are for the body. I thought that moisturizers were for the face & that lotions are for the body. Please explain the difference to me in termanology & in ingredients.

I used to have acne but it went away from using Proactiv. I like the products but they’re a little expensive, so I want to try other products. I’m wondering what would be a good toner for oily, but sensitive skin? And also a moisterizer for oily skin?

I use nivea young tinted moisturiser at the moment & it is quite good, I also use avon perfect match foundation & natural collections pressed powder. Just wanted any reccommendations?
Also I like to wear eyeliner but I constantly have to re apply it throughout the school day so I was wanting to try a liquid eyeliner for around the top of my eye? Which brand is best in your opinion? Thank youuu x x x

I wash my face, wipe it with rapid clear salicylic acid treatment pads, put moisturizer on, then put on acne spot treatment gel. Is this the correct order?

Besides the price difference which one is better. Which one is more organic & less scented.

I have a condition called Xerosis & my skin is really dry – especially now in winter! What can I do to oil up my skin? I’m using moisturiser as well!

The nose doesn’t get wrinkled or dry like other parts of your face (it’s naturally more oily), & it’s more susceptible to blackheads, so should you not moisturize it?
Would moisturizing it get rid of the redness on the nose from previous acne?

I use Olay right now but it seems to make my skin oily.

Will tinted moisturizer cover up bags under my eyes or lighten them up a bit?
And can you recommend me a good tinted moisturizer.
